Biografía

Carlos Restrepo received the Bachelor degree (with honors) and the Master degree in electrical engineering in 2006 and 2007, respectively, from the Universidad Tecnológica de Pereira, Colombia, and the Master degree and the Ph.D. (with honors) degree in electronic engineering from the Universitat Rovira i Virgili de Tarragona, Tarragona, Spain, in 2008 and 2012, respectively. He was a Visiting Scholar with the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, University of Maribor, Maribor, Slovenia, in 2011. During 2013 and 2014, he was a Postdoctoral Researcher with the Electrical Power Processing Group, Delft University of Technology, Delft, The Netherlands. From 2014 to 2016, he was a Professor with the Departamento de Ingeniería Eléctrica, Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María, Santiago de Chile, Chile. He is currently a Professor with the Departamento de Ingeniería Eléctrica, Universidad de Talca, Curicó, Chile. His main research interests include modeling and emulator design for fuel cells, design and digital control of switched converters, and energy management of hybrid electric vehicles. He is the Director of the Laboratory of Applications in Smart Grids (LARI in Spanish) research group.
