He received his degree in Electronic Engineering in 2005 and earned a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering Sciences from the Universidad de Concepción in 2010. Since 2009, he has been a professor at the University of Talca (UoTalca), serving in the Department of Industrial Technologies from 2009 to 2015 and then in the Department of Electrical Engineering from 2016 to the present. He played a critical role in developing the Electrical Engineering program's curriculum at UoTalca and helped ensure its successful launch. He was also instrumental in creating and implementing the Master's program in Engineering Sciences with a specialization in Energy Conversion at UoTalca, which has successfully trained academics and professionals in this field. He is a senior member of IEEE. His research interests include (a) generating new knowledge in power electronics converter control, (b) improving the dynamic behavior of microgrids through ancillary services of grid-connected converters, and (c) enhancing efficiency in medium voltage converters and their applications in distribution networks.
